Let's Do This

Staying fit while in college is a bit of a challenge, especially in grad school.  You spend a lot of time sitting: sitting at the computer, sitting in class, sitting in the library, sitting, sitting, sitting.

After going back for a PhD, for the first time, I gained the freshman 15 (I went to school on a hill - go Hilltoppers! - so it was impossible when I was an actual freshman).  I gained weight my first year of grad school as well, and learned that the only way to balance this out, was to schedule in time for the gym.  It's a bit more difficult with a busier schedule but I'm determined to do it again.  Lose the weight, that is - I enjoyed a lot of food over Christmas break.



This is my blog.  I don't blog, really, I'm horrible at keeping a diary of any kind, including a planner.  But I'm going to try and keep track of everything.  While that doesn't make for much of an interesting read, I'm going to try and post new things I've learned about health and exercise.

Let's do this.
